Experience. Results. Value.
In today’s business environment, you need more than just a high IQ! You need an EQ – emotional quotient.
EQ capitalizes on emotional intelligence – going beyond job descriptions and resumes – to take a more holistic approach to delivering exceptional talent.
EQ recruiters are better able to identify “impact players” who provide leadership, innovation, and the critical insight to drive your organization — people who possess that rare combination of intellectual and emotional intelligence. We know how to demonstrate the value proposition for the companies and roles we work on. This gets top talent engaged.
What’s EQ made of?

- Discerning business acumen. We know more than recruiting – we understand all aspects of how your business works.
- Proactive recruiting strategies. We don’t wait until a need is urgent. We continuously build our talent pipeline for our clients.

Bill Shaw, Director of Healthcare Practice
Bill has made immediate impact upon joining EQ Search. He focuses mostly, on recruiting top talent for mid- to senior-level positions for our healthcare clients. His passion for building relationships, has been his key to success with finding the right “fit” for both the candidate and client.
Most of his earlier professional career was spent in the home building industry. In this role, he hired and worked with a variety of engineers, contractors, government officials, attorneys, architects and other consultants — finding himself a front row seat for learning the intimate details and requirements of many different jobs.
In this early career, he learned the power of trust and relationship building — imperative qualities for a recruiter. Bill firmly believes that there’s value not just in “knowing someone” but in the activity of putting service to others above whatever he can get out of the relationship. The result is a network of people that trust him and that he can equally trust for honesty, loyalty and a desire to help in any way they can. All of that translates to an unparalleled commitment to the search for that perfect team member.
In addition to his role here at EQ Search, Bill is also the President of Rothrock Search, an executive recruiting firm specializing in custom searches for the management consulting and engineering industries.
Bill resides in State College, PA and makes the most of his favorite outdoor pastimes — hiking, fishing, hunting and, of course, attending Penn State Nittany Lions games.
Grace Duffy, Strategic Partner, President and Founder, Footprint Pathways
Grace is a transformational consultant, a bio-pharmaceutical consulting business leader, pharmaceutical executive, change agent, strategist, professional mentor and entrepreneur. Grace is the Founder and President of Footprint Pathways, a bio-pharmaceutical healthcare consulting firm specializing in strategic transformations of small-to-medium service companies and their executive and talent teams.
Prior to Footprint Pathways, she was the divisional executive vice president of Advance Insights, the strategy and analytics division of inVentiv Health, a $1B+ publicly held company that specializes in providing a unique range of commercialization solutions to the healthcare industry. She directed and led the building of a new integrated commercialization unit for a publicly held $1B company that focused on U.S. and global consulting services in access and reimbursement, market analytics, product launch and global commercialization.
During the acquisition of inVentiv by a private equity firm, she designed, launched and managed a newly formed integrated business development executive team which was responsible for aggressive revenue generation goals and expanding new business for the newly integrated divisions. Companies’ action and performance-driven BD plan resulted in significant growth of the commercialization consulting businesses and dramatic “downstream” revenue dollars within the parent company.
Prior to joining inVentiv Health, Grace was co-founder and executive partner of Strategyx, a high-margin, leading, partner-owned consultancy specializing in market and commercialization strategies, organizational reengineering, and access and reimbursement strategy. She designed and developed new consulting capabilities – most notably, highly valued expertise in specialty injectable and infusible therapeutics. During her tenure as a partner with Strategyx, she established critical infrastructure required to attract and retain the highly skilled professionals required to support an average annual growth of 27%. This leadership position led to market interest and culminated in the sale of the company to inVentiv Health.
Prior to Strategyx, Grace directed and managed a newly merged (Skila Inc. and EMA Consulting), venture backed, pre-IPO global technology company’s consulting division specializing in knowledge and technology effectiveness solutions for the healthcare industry. She was involved in organizational restructuring, development of new repositioned integrated offerings, execution of a three-month company-wide turnaround plan and securing aggressive revenue targets while supporting the company’s IPO business plan.
Her background also includes EMA Consulting, President of GDD Enterprises, an independent pharmaceutical consulting firm, and extensive experience in a series of staff and management positions at a leading pharmaceutical company, now SANOFI-AVENTIS.
